Abstract:
The batik patterns of Buyi Nationality are rich in content and exquisite in design, with strong regional characteristics and value connotation. From the perspective of design, through field investigation, literature study and physical research, this paper analyzed the pattern theme and morphological structure, extracted typical pattern factors, and summarized their arrangement and composition rules. The basic patterns were designed and reconstructed by using the methods of structural reorganization and morphological displacement, and multiple groups of derived patterns were created by combing the arrangement rules. The innovative derived patterns were then applied in the design of women’s leather shoes made by 3D digital software modeling. According to the needs of target consumer groups, the product design was developed which conforms to modern women's aesthetic perception and also has ethnic characteristics. The results show that the application of Buyi batik patterns on women’s leather shoes endows the contemporary leather goods with new artistic and cultural connotations.
