Abstract: With the longing for a healthy life, people attach great importance to the problem of human body pathological changes and property damage of microfiber synthetic leather caused by bacteria. Therefore, it is an important subject to develop antibacterial microfiber synthetic leather. From the aspects of the antibacterial agents used in microfiber synthetic leather and the ways of antibacterial modification of microfiber synthetic leather, this paper respectively introduces the types of antibacterial agents used in microfiber synthetic leather and the antibacterial modification of raw materials (polyurethane, fiber, synthetic leather base cloth) and the antibacterial finishing of microfiber synthetic leather. Besides, this paper summarizes the problems to be solved in the current research of antibacterial properties of microfiber synthetic leather and prospects the development trend of antibacterial properties of microfiber synthetic leather.
