Abstract: Due to the rapid fashion cycle, the life span of apparel products has been shortened, resulting in a large number of second-hand clothing (SHC) and post-consumer textile waste (PCTW). The main content of this study is to create an effective, sustainable, “zero waste” garment textile waste solution that reuses SHC through usage, design and production to achieve 100% utilization of PCTW. The results showed that nearly 40% of the old laundry waste can be reused as new clothes, and the remaining waste can be further processed for further use in the non-apparel sector. The solution provides a closed-loop supply chain that can create new apparel products, utilize textile waste, and generate additional revenue and profits from recycled apparel.
