Functional Characterization of Formaldehyde-free Dicyandiamide and Melamine Resin

  • Two kinds of the amino-resin with white and soluble powdery complexes were synthesized by the polymerization of melamine or dicyandiamide with cyanuric chloride without water. Two kinds of amino resins were applied to tanning of cow skins, respectively. Melamine resin has higher tanning power to meet well the leather characteristics. The application of the two resins to retanning had positive effects on reducing the chromium content in the waste liquor of chrome tanning and Good physical and mechanical properties.
