Design of Night Mountaineering Intelligent Shoes based on Consumer Needs

With the increasing popularity of mountaineering and the increasing level of intelligence in footwear and clothing, the design of mountaineering boots is also in urgent need of transformation and upgrading. The key requirements of night-time mountaineering shoes in practicability and intelligentization were identified by word frequency analysis. This paper summarized 10 sub-function points in the two kinds of functions, luminescence and orientation, and analyzed the demand degree and demand difference of each function point by questionnaire. Finally, light emitting diode (LED), combined with fluorescent fabric, global positioning system (GPS) and intelligent interconnection technology, was used to design an intelligent night hiking shoe with integrated lighting, prompt, navigation, help-seeking and interactive functions. This design scheme not only expanded the thinking of functional design of mountaineering shoes but also provided a practical reference for the design and manufacture of night mountaineering intelligent shoes, which is helpful to promote the intelligent development of outdoor sports industry to meet the requirements of consumers for the safety and convenience of mountain climbing at night.
